No. 5 Diversity Company
At their annual awards gala, DiversityInc named Sodexo the no. 5 company on their prestigious 2015 list of the Top 50 Companies for Diversity. Sodexo earns a spot in the Top 5 for the sixth year in a row. From a group of over 1,000 participating companies, the Top 50 list included organizations from a wide range of industries, including consulting, retail, manufacturing and banking. This recognition is a testament to Sodexo's ongoing commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Sodexo continues to evidence its commitment to diversity and inclusion through its executive and leadership involvement in formal mentoring partnerships, employee business resource groups (with membership totaling close to 4,000 members) and the cross market diversity council. In addition, managers continue to participate in diversity and inclusion activities that are directly tied to Sodexo's diversity scorecard.
Sodexo, Inc. employs over 120,000 people in North America, but millions more work for the companies in our supply chain and for their suppliers. As our supply chain becomes more global, we are working to ensure that all the goods we sell are produced according to widely accepted social, environmental and ethical standards.
Sodexo's Supplier Code of Conduct was created by Sodexo North America in 2005, then adopted globally in 2007. While many of our suppliers have their own baseline standards, they must comply with our code in addition to their own. The Code is integrated in the terms and conditions of all contracts with our suppliers and Sodexo's Supply Management Team communicates with contracted vendors on a quarterly basis to ensure compliance.
These are just a few ways your Sodexo dining team is part of your local community. To learn more, please speak to your on-site dining manager.
